Proposed New Homes

Welcome to the community consultation website for proposed new homes at Paynes Meadow, located between Hyde Lane, Paynes Meadow and Kidnams Walk in Whitminster.

About the Proposals

Creating New Homes for Whitminster

The site at Paynes Meadow has the potential to provide up to 64 new homes within walking distance of village facilities and services.

The proposals seek to deliver a range of house types and sizes to meet the needs of different households, including families and those looking to take their first step onto the property ladder. The development is being designed to create an attractive and well-connected residential neighbourhood that respects its surroundings and integrates with the existing community.

The consultation is now live. You can view the proposals on this website by downloading the consultation boards that were displayed at the consultation event.

Why This Site?

A Sustainable Location for Growth

Paynes Meadow is located on the edge of Whitminster and benefits from access to local services, facilities and public transport connections.

The site is within easy reach of local amenities, helping to reduce the need to travel longer distances for everyday activities. The proposals also provide an opportunity to provide enhanced public open space, strengthen green infrastructure, and deliver environmental enhancements.

What Happens Next?

We are currently at the pre-application consultation stage.

Following this consultation, feedback from residents and stakeholders will be reviewed by the project team and used to inform the continued development of the proposals. A planning application will then be submitted to Stroud District Council, which will be responsible for determining the application.
